Man injured in Limerick stabbing

A man is recovering in hospital today after being stabbed in Limerick city in the early hours of this morning.

The youth received wounds to the head, shoulder and back after being attacked in the Thomondgate area at around 2am.

Gardaí said the stabbing may have been linked to the ongoing feud between two family-based criminal gangs in north Limerick.

No arrests have been made, but officers said they were following a definite line of inquiry.
