Man arrested after €12m cannabis seizure

Gardai in Dublin have arrested a 40-year-old man following the seizure of one tonne of cannabis resin near Heuston Station this morning.

The drugs were found in the back of a lorry after it was stopped on St John's Road West at around 7.20am.

The driver was arrested and is being held in Kilmainham Garda Station.

Gardai said the drugs had a street value of €12m.
