Twenty injured in Westmeath bus crash

Twenty people were hospitalised with minor injuries today after a bus they were travelling on collided with a lorry on the Tullamore road outside Kilbeggan in Co Westmeath today.

The bus was carrying 42 Welsh tourists, including a group of schoolchildren and their parents, to a dancing competition in Moate when it crashed into the rear of a stationery lorry at around 12pm.

The injured passengers were taken to hospitals in Tullamore and Mullingar.
