Minister urged to come clean on waiting lists
The Irish Patients' Association has called on Health Minister Micheál Martin to state clearly when the Government will honour its promise to eliminate hospital waiting lists.
Fianna Fail promised before last year's election that it would eradicate waiting lists within two years, but Mr Martin admitted yesterday that this pledge would not be honoured.
The Irish Patients' Association said the admission would leave many people on waiting lists wondering when they would receive treatment.
