Two die in road accidents in Tipp and Galway

Two elderly people have died in separate road accidents in Co Tipperary and Co Galway yesterday evening.

A 70-year-old woman died when her four-wheel drive vehicle collided with a truck outside Toomevara in Co Tipperary at around 5.20pm.

A short time later, a man in his 80s died after being knocked off his bicycle during a collision with a car in Kilkerrin, Co Galway.

Gardai have yet to name the two victims.
