Builders say housing market levelling off

The Irish Builders Association says supply and demand for housing is levelling off.

The IHBA says local authorities must now sustain the balance and bring more serviced land to the property market.

The group is holding its national conference in Kilkenny today.

Chairman Matt Gallagher says despite the promising figures, they now intend to tackle the issue of soaring house prices with the government.
