Bernard Allen banished from Dail

The Dail was suspended for almost 35 minutes this afternoon, after Cork Fine Gael TD Bernard Allen refused to leave the chamber.

Deputy Allen was initially ordered out for five minutes after he heckled the Taoiseach, but would not go.

This led to the session being adjourned for over half an hour.

Ceann Comhairle Dr Ruairi O'Hanlon said the attack by Deputy Allen was more than heckling.
