Noel Redding dies

Noel Redding, who was a bass player with the Jimi Hendrix Experience, has died at his home in West Cork.

Mr Redding, who was 57 years old, was found dead at his home yesterday. The cause of his death is unknown.

Redding was with the Jimi Hendrix Experience from the its outset in 1966 and he stayed with the band until 1969.

Redding also made numerous recordings with his bands Fat Mattress, Road, and the Noel Redding Band.
