Arrested man brandishing shotgun, court told

A man arrested by police in Northern Ireland after officers shot dead another man was brandishing a sawn-off shotgun, a court heard today.

David Somers, 22, of no fixed address, was seized following a major surveillance operation that ended in police opening fire on a car near Lisburn, Co Antrim.
