Minister tight-lipped on house scheme suggestions

Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy has remained tight-lipped on suggestions he is planning to introduce a savings scheme for first-time home-buyers.

Reported suggested the minister was planning something similar to the controversial 'special savings scheme' to make up for his abolition of the first-time buyers' grant last year.
