Bord Pleanala to rule on Mayo gas terminal

An Bord Pleanala is due to rule today on an appeal against planning permission for a controversial gas terminal in Bellanaboy, Co Mayo.

Mayo County Council granted planning permission for the terminal to the Shell-owned Enteprise Energy Ireland two years ago.

That decision was appealed by local residents and environmental groups.
