The expert group appointed by the Department of Health to monitor the worldwide SARS outbreak is due to meet later today.

The group is expected to examine new guidelines for the management of suspected cases in Ireland and will also discuss whether athletes from SARS-affected countries should be banned from attending the Special Olympics in Ireland in June.
