War supporters accused of triumphalism

The Green Party has accused supporters of the US/British invasion of Iraq of engaging in triumphalism following the overthrow of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

Party spokesman John Gormley has pointed out that the war was ostensibly about Iraq’s alleged weapons of mass destruction, which have not been found.
