UUP rejects IRA statement
Sources in the Ulster Unionist Party have declared that the IRA statement presented to the Irish and British governments on Sunday night is not enough to convince the UUP to resume sharing power with Sinn Féin.
The sources said the statement about the IRA's future intentions is not enough to convince party leader David Trimble to call a meeting of the UUP ruling council to endorse a return to the power-sharing Executive.
