The National Bus and Railworkers Union is due to begin balloting bus drivers this morning on plans to engage in strike action over the privatisation of Dublin Bus routes.

The union said the plans, which are part of Transport Minister Seamus Brennan's proposed break-up of CIE, will lead to job losses.
