Controversial Austrian politician due in Dublin today
The far-right Austrian politician Jorg Haider is due in Dublin today as a guest of Trinity College's philosophical society.
Mr Haider, the leader of the so-called Freedom Party, has been condemned throughout Europe for his racist and anti-immigrant views and his admiration for Adolf Hitler and the Nazis.
The Austrian politician is due to take part in a debate at Trinity on the future direction of Europe and the college's philosophical society has insisted that, as an anti-federalist, his views are relevant.
Anti-Nazi protestors are expected to picket the debate.
