Top security ahead of presidential visit

Security forces in the North have sealed off the Co Down village of Hillsborough today ahead of a visit to the area by US President George W Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Anybody who doesn't live in the small village has been excluded from entering the area.

US security personnel are already on the scene, scouring the grounds of Hillsborough castle and the streets of the village.

Meanwhile, Aldergrove military airport, where Mr Bush is due to arrive later today, was sealed off along with the City Airport following a bomb warning.

The M3 leading into Belfast from the east was also closed, as was the M2 north and south-bound, with two controlled explosions carried out by the British army.
