Rally in Dublin today for better cancer services
A major rally is being held in Dublin this afternoon by health groups and members of the opposition calling for better cancer services in all parts of Ireland.
It is being organised by cancer-care alliance, which claim the government needs to develop cancer services in the West and South of the country.
The march will start at Parnell Square at 1pm and will continue down O'Connell Street and on to Government buildings.
Spokesperson, Dr. Jerry Cowley says it would be more cost effective to provide regional care, rather than bringing patients to Dublin hospitals.
