A six-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car on the Kilkenny Road in Carlow shortly before 6pm yesterday evening.

A six-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car on the Kilkenny Road in Carlow shortly before 6pm yesterday evening.

She was taken to St Lukes Hospital, but died a short time later.
