Some 300 jobs are to be created in Co Cork over the next four years, it emerged today.

Tanaiste Minister Mary Harney was set to announce details of four new projects in the county during a visit to Cork today.

Positions are expected to be created in the Blackrock, Little Island, Carrigtohill and Bandon areas.

The projects will all be funded by IDA Ireland.

Ms Harney was also preparing to meet workers in Youghal, east Cork, where hundreds of jobs have been lost in recent months.
