Govt accused of breaching social partnership

The National Union of Journalists has accused the Government of breaching the terms of the new social partnership deal by failing to consult interested parties about proposed restrictions to the Freedom of Information Act.

The NUJ's Irish secretary Seamus Dooley said the Sustaining Progress deal contains specific commitments in relation to consultation on public policy.
