O'Leary defends Ryanair 'no refunds' policy
The Chief Executive of low cost airline Ryanair is defending his company's policy of not refunding passengers who fail to show up for flights.
Michael O'Leary has been addressing an Oireachtas Committee on Transport.
He told the meeting that customers agree to not getting a refund when they click on an acceptance box on the internet when they book their flight.
"The passenger must tick that box and accept those terms and conditions before they go on to book that flight, therefore, every passenger who has booked a ticket on a Ryanair flight knows that money is non-refundable", O'Leary said today.
