Rail engineers to receive 15% pay rise

More than 70 Irish Rail engineers who were due to begin strike action tomorrow have called off their plans after receiving a pay rise from the company.

The dispute was resolved during 11th-hour talks yesterday which resulted in Irish Rail agreeing to implement Labour Court recommendations.
