Irish Head of Islam 'disappointed' with Govt
The Head of the Islamic Centre in Ireland is expressing disappointment in the Government's stance on the United States' continued military use of Shannon airport.
Dr Noah al Kaddo says our society's stance on the war through peaceful demonstrations is not reflected in the Government's policy.
He was speaking ahead of today's anti-war protests being staged throughout the country.
"We witnessed the neutrality of this country through the way they rejected the war and the demonstration on February 15. All other indications show the true neutrality and the peaceful society we have.
"We were expecting that to be reflected in the Government policy."
