The level of road deaths so far this year is down 35% on the number of fatalities for the same period last year, according to the National Safety Council.

The level of road deaths so far this year is down 35% on the number of fatalities for the same period last year, according to the National Safety Council.

The council said 60 people have died in road accidents so far this year, compared to 92 up to March 21, 2002.
