Healthcare firm to create 220 jobs in Co Galway

A US multinational has announced plans to expand its facilities in Co Galway in a move that could create up to 220 new jobs.

Healthcare firm Cigna is planning to expand its medical claims processing operation in Loughrea with the backing of the Industrial Development Agency.

The Tanaiste, Mary Harney, described the expansion as welcome news for the east Galway area.
