Health experts to discuss suspected SARS case

An expert group appointed by the Department of Health is meeting today to discuss its response to a suspected case of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) at a Dublin hospital.

The department confirmed last night that doctors were treating a man exhibiting symptoms of the disease, which the World Health Organisation has described as a global health threat.
