Two police officers and a paramedic have been injured in sectarian fighting in Belfast.

Up to 200 rival Catholics and Protestants threw stones, bottles and fireworks as the disorder erupted in the Limestone Road area.

Police were also called to deal with major trouble in the nearby White City and Longlands interface after the Rangers and Celtic football clash in Glasgow.

Nationalist and Loyalist gangs also clashed along peace lines in East Belfast and there were disturbances in Lurgan, Co Armagh involving up to 60 rival youths.

Meanwhile, in the Strand walk area of East Belfast; bomb disposal teams defused two pipe bombs found following reports of an explosion.
