Ex-ATGWU leaders drop legal action

Two former leaders of the ATGWU in Ireland have both accepted offers of lesser jobs in the union following their dismissal last year.

Irish secretary Mick O'Reilly and his right-hand man, Eugene McGlone, were sacked by the ATGWU's British bosses.

However, they have now accepted positions as senior industrial officers and have agreed to drop all legal action against the union arising from their dismissal.
