The European Union has demanded the return of €26,500 in funding given to a loyalist ex-prisoners' group which used a building where guns and ammunition were found in May 2000.

The European Union has demanded the return of €26,500 in funding given to a loyalist ex-prisoners' group which used a building where guns and ammunition were found in May 2000.

The EU has ordered the Northern Ireland Voluntary Trust to recover the money from the north Antrim branch of the Ex-Prisoners' Interpretative Centre following an investigation by its anti-fraud office.
