Govt to introduce workplace safety legislation

The Minister for Labour Affairs Frank Fahey has announced plans to introduce a new Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Bill later this year.

Speaking at the Health and Safety Authority's annual conference in Kilkenny, Mr Fahey claimed the bill would herald a new era of safety on Irish building sites.
