Customs seize €300,000 in counterfeit goods

Customs officers at Dublin Port have seized counterfeit clothing with a retail value of €300,000.

The goods were found in a consignment of 203 cartons which had arrived from Indonesia and included clothing and caps bearing Nike, Adidas, Polo, Lauren, Levi's and Ferrari brands.

So far this year, customs officers have made 59 separate seizures of counterfeit with a total retail value of around €455,000.
