Durkan defends decision to attend US celebrations

SDLP leader Mark Durkan has defended his party's decision to attend the annual St Patrick's Day reception at the White House in Washington, despite its opposition to war.

"I think it is right that we should engage with people, whatever our different views in relation to Iraq," he said.
