Police in the North are investigating the discovery of a pipe bomb outside a house in Ballymena, Co Antrim, last night.

A 13-year-old girl discovered the device in the driveway of a house in Craigadoo Drive.

Explosives experts later defused the bomb and took it away for forensic tests.

Detectives investigating the find have not ruled out a sectarian motive.
