Morris to hear testimony of detective’s wife
The wife of a garda accused of staging explosives finds to further his own career is due to give evidence before the Morris Tribunal later today.
Sheenagh McMahon has claimed that her husband, Detective Noel McMahon, along with Superintendent Kevin Lennon and garda informer Adrienne McGlinchey, made the explosives in the latter’s home before planting them and then pretending to find them.
She has also said that she did not trust the gardaí to conduct an internal investigation of the matter.
The Morris Tribunal was established to investigate allegations of widespread garda corruption in the Donegal division.
