US firm to create 900 jobs in Sligo, Longford

US healthcare firm Abbotts is reportedly planning to create 900 new jobs in Ireland, 300 at its existing plant in Sligo and 600 at the new technology park in Longford.

The Cabinet is expected to approve the IDA-funded development early next week, with the Tanaiste due to officially announce the move on Tuesday.
