In South Armagh a 37-year-old man was shot in both elbows and ankles in the Creggan area of the border village of Crossmaglen.

A 43-year-old man was shot once in the leg in an attack at Abbot Drive in Newtownards, Co Down.

On the Rathcoole estate at Newtownabbey on the northern outskirts of Belfast a 19-year-old was attacked by a gang in his home.

Four masked men forced their way into the house at Doonbeg Drive and beat the teenager around the head and legs with baseball bats.
