Govt issues Middle East travel advice

The Government tonight issued revised travel advice for people going to the Middle East – and urged any Irish citizens in Iraq to leave immediately.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said any Irish citizens either resident in or intending to travel to any part of the region should be aware of the risk of military conflict and terrorist action there and exercise extreme caution in their movements.
