McCreevy accuses lawyers of ripping off State

Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy has accused lawyers of encouraging their clients to sue the State at the expense of Irish taxpayers.

Mr McCreevy said some lawyers regard the public finances as the equivalent of a bank machine which gives out free cash.
