Labour calls for alcohol price freeze

The Labour Party has called for a freeze on the price of alcohol after Guinness announced plans to increase its prices to publicans by four cent per pint.

The move is expected to lead to a price increase of between 10 and 15 cent for consumers when VAT and excise duty are taken into account.
