Poll shows disapproval of Church abuse deal

A poll revealed by MRBI today states that 55% of people disapprove of the deal done between Church and State on payment of compensation in cases of institutional child abuse.

Of those polled, 33% agreed with the deal under which religious orders will pay €128m towards compensation claims.
