Cork: gardai continue investigation into death of couple

The Garda Technical Bureau is on its way to Cork to the scene where the bodies of a young couple where found shot dead.

A 19-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man were found by the girl's father in a rented house in Bishopstown shortly before 9pm yesterday.

Both had head wounds and a gun was found nearby.

Post mortems on the victims' bodies will be carried out later today.

The victims were from the Fermoy area of North Cork and were students at the Cork Institute of Technology.

Gardai say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the shooting.
