Cork rape trial reaches closing stages

The trial of a man accused of raping a woman in her home in Cork has reached its closing stages at the Central Criminal Court.

The hearing of evidence has concluded and the jury has been addressed by counsel for the prosecution, Mr Patrick J McCarthy SC, and for the defence, Mr Colm Smyth SC, after four days of the hearing.
