Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has denied claims by a DUP MP that he was involved in the IRA bombing of a hotel near Belfast 25 years ago which claimed the lives of 12 people.

Iris Robinson, the DUP MP for Strangford, made the allegation in the British House of Commons and cannot be sued for slander due to parliamentary privilege.
