Police attacked in the North

Police in the North are recovering after a serious gun incident overnight.

Officers in Derry are examining what has been described as spent cases of blank ammunition after an incident where a man opened fire on police with a handgun.

The shots were fired at 12.30am this morning, while police were making a number of arrests.
