Ahern calls for increased Iraqi co-operation

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has urged the Iraqi Government to increase its co-operation with the United Nations weapons inspectors in an effort to avoid war.

However, speaking during a visit to Portugal, Mr Ahern gave his strongest hint yet that he would support a US/British attack on Iraq.
