The SDLP has accused unionists of adopting an "ostrich-like" approach to efforts to restore the North's devolved political institutions.

Party spokesman Sean Farren, the finance minister in the suspended Northern Executive, said the unionists refusal to engage in round-table talks on the implementation of the Good Friday Agreement suggests that they are not interested in real partnership.
