Equality tribunal shows record number of complaints
The annual report by the Equality tribunal shows a record number of complaints over discrimination in employment and in access to goods and services were made last year.
Three quarters of all complaints received were from members of the travelling community.
The tribunal's director, Melanie Pine, says anyone who feels they have suffered discrimination should come forward to them.
"Someone who is being discriminated against either in the area of employment or in the area of getting access to goods and services can ring us up or can go on to our website, which is www.odei.ie.
"They can look for a complaint form and just follow the procedure from there."
