Consumers get wrong advice on acne, says report
People are getting the wrong advice about how to deal with acne, according to a new report highlighted by the Health Research Board.
International research has shown that consumers are being misled about how they should treat the problem.
The Cochrane Collaboration in the US have found that claims or poor hygiene or not washing as a blame for acne are wrong.
It says in fact that this can irritate the skin and increase acne.
