Two arrested in connection with Limerick shooting

Gardai in Limerick have arrested a man and a woman in connection with the fatal shooting of a 36-year-old man in the city last night.

Kieran Keane was shot a number of times in the head in an execution-style killing which gardai believe is linked to a long-running family feud.

Another man was also seriously injured in the attack.

The man and woman arrested in connection with the incident were detained in the Anacotty area in the early hours of this morning. Both are in their 40s.

Gardai have also carried out a number of searches as part of the investigation into last night's shooting.
